I saved the worst Seoul pun for last. But at the heart of Seoul, we found a lively, friendly city full of people who definitely love to eat.
Our gang enjoyed a typical Korean barbecue feast. Delicious, tender beef was cooked for us at the table (actually, in the table) and accompanied by too many yummy side dishes to count, including traditional kimchi (salted and fermented cabbage). Our very helpful servers. The aftermath of our meal. Needless to say, we ate well.We chose not to partake of the Variety Intestine Platter. Maybe we missed out.Koreans love their street food too. You can choose from almost endless options involving seafood, beef, pork, chicken, and veggies. The food is typically grilled or fried and served with some kind of savory and/or spicy sauce. One of literally hundreds of street food stalls in the chaotic Myeongdong district.Working up an appetite in the Hongdae university district. This dude looks hungry too.A full belly makes for a happy Buddha.Every one of these peeps is thinking about their next meal. Chicken and beer, anyone? In the end it all ends up here.Next stop, Taiwan!
